Every day, drivers across Abuja hand their cars over to someone they've never worked with, based on a name scribbled on a signboard or a friend's half-remembered recommendation. Mechux exists to make that decision easier. We verify mechanics, publish ratings you can actually trust, and give good mechanics the steady stream of work they've earned. It's the ride-hailing model, rebuilt for car repair.
Built from a bad day on the roadside
Mechux started the way a lot of Nigerian problems get solved — out of frustration. A breakdown, a mechanic who didn't show up when promised, and no way to know who to trust before handing over the keys.
We're building the platform I wished existed that day: verified mechanics, transparent pricing, and a rating that actually means something. We're starting small, in Abuja, because trust has to be earned one job at a time before it can scale.
Mechux and beyond
Beyond matching car owners with verified mechanics nearby, we're building the tools that keep good mechanics working: transparent commission, faster payouts, and Mechux Academy — a training track that helps mechanics get verified and take on higher-paying jobs.
